GM-PSD-2026.05 Release.
This page is the public release note for the Granumetrics PSD method label shown in the app, exports, and reports. It lets customers tie a result back to the method family that produced it without exposing internal model files, recipe JSON, or operational thresholds.
Intended use
Phone-photo particle size distribution for coarse aggregate samples, reported on EN 933-1 cumulative-passing axes. The method is intended for screening, trend monitoring, field checks, and pilot comparisons against existing laboratory workflows.
What the output includes
- Estimated particle-size distribution from calibrated sample photos.
- D-values and a cumulative passing chart on sieve-style axes.
- Detected-particle evidence imagery for human review.
- CSV, PDF, report, and audit-pack metadata that carry this method label.
Validation scope
The current pilot method is compared against sieve-reference workflows for aggregate samples in the supported capture range. It is designed to make paired testing easier and faster, not to replace a laboratory or an accredited acceptance procedure.
Limitations
- Not an accredited laboratory method or regulatory approval claim.
- Requires representative sampling, clear separation, and correct scale calibration.
- Occlusion, fines below the supported range, wet/dirty material, glare, or poor focus can reduce accuracy.
- Safety-critical, contractual, or regulatory decisions should be confirmed with the buyer’s required reference method.
Traceability
Analyses generated under this release carry the public label GM-PSD-2026.05. When the production method changes in a way that affects customer interpretation, Granumetrics will publish a new public label and keep prior release notes accessible.
